Cycling Projects

It seems I've been the freaky fish lady lately. There has been a lot of research going on. Of course, now the rush is done and over with and there are fish in the tank, my enthusiasm level dropped significantly. Instead of being worried or disappointed, I think I will chalk it up to having met a goal. I am excited about them, and worried, and hopeful. I think they will be great fun. I still get to make up all sorts of fresh foods and figure out all sorts of stuff, so it isn't a complete dead end.

Quilting has spurred my interest lately. I've been putting it off in favor of my knitting, but the knitting has slowed to a crawl, mainly because I don't do a lot of things that require sitting on my ass. I'll start bringing it to work with me again and it will get done. But the quilting is a new skill, a new challenge, and a scary one. I want to start a new pattern, but the old ones need to be at least worked on first. I'll learn how to paper piece and decide if I like machine stitching or hand stitching better.

I still have plenty of sewing projects that I want to finish. Start, is more like it. I need at least one laptop bag, and those pajamas would really come in handy. It would be nice if I could take them back, though. I don't like them nearly as much as I did before. Oh well, they'll do.

I'm still struggling to bring some sort of order to my days. I have completely fallen off the bandwagon and I sort of feel okay about it. Less pressure. I say "C'est la vie" and move on.
